Curated with Heart
This journey is the result of a shared love for Egypt and a desire to experience it a little differently.

Begin your unforgettable visit to the magnificent Giza Plateau, a treasure trove of ancient history and home to one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Here, you will have the opportunity to explore the iconic Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mycerinus, marveling at their immense size and intricate designs. Don't miss the chance to visit the Valley Temple, where ancient rituals were performed, and gaze upon the Great Sphinx, a symbol of mystery and power. This extraordinary site promises to leave you in awe as you walk in the footsteps of ancient Egyptians.
Continue to the Grand Egyptian Museum, one of the world’s most significant archaeological and cultural institutions, showcasing an unparalleled collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts. The museum offers an immersive journey through Egypt’s rich history and civilization and is set to display the legendary treasures of the tomb of Tutankhamun, among its most iconic highlights.
🍳 Breakfast 🍽️ Lunch 🌙 Dinner
Our day begins at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, where Egypt’s story unfolds from prehistoric times through the modern day.
One of the museum’s highlights is the extraordinary Royal Mummies Hall, where some of Egypt’s greatest pharaohs—including Ramses II and Queen Hatshepsut—are displayed in beautifully designed galleries that offer an intimate look into ancient royal life.
Late afternoon, we’ll board a short flight to Luxor, ancient Thebes and once the magnificent capital of Egypt’s New Kingdom.
Upon arrival, we’ll transfer to our hotel, where you can settle in and prepare for tomorrow’s exploration of the Valley of the Kings.
🍳 Breakfast 🍽️ Lunch 🌙 Dinner
Before sunrise, those who wish can take part in an unforgettable optional hot air balloon ride over Luxor’s West Bank.
As the first light of day illuminates the Nile and the desert beyond, you’ll float peacefully above ancient temples, farmland, and the dramatic landscape that has witnessed thousands of years of history. It’s a truly magical way to begin the day and offers some of the most breathtaking views in all of Egypt.
Hidden within the desert mountains lies the legendary Valley of the Kings, burial place of Egypt’s greatest pharaohs.
More than sixty royal tombs have been discovered here, many still filled with brilliantly preserved paintings and hieroglyphics that reveal ancient beliefs about the journey into the afterlife.
Our Egyptologist will guide us through several remarkable tombs, bringing these extraordinary stories vividly to life.
Next, we’ll visit one of Egypt’s most beautiful temples.
Built dramatically against towering limestone cliffs, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut honors one of history’s most successful female rulers. Its elegant terraces and striking design make it one of Egypt’s architectural masterpieces.
Later this afternoon we’ll board our elegant private dahabiya, our home for the next several days.
Unlike larger Nile cruise ships, a dahabiya offers a slower, more intimate way to experience Egypt. With only our small group aboard, we’ll sail quietly between ancient temples, palm-lined villages, and peaceful islands while enjoying exceptional hospitality and the timeless beauty of the Nile.
🍳 Breakfast 🍽️ Lunch 🌙 Dinner
Our first stop is Esna Temple, dedicated to Khnum, the ram-headed god believed to have created mankind on his potter’s wheel.
Unlike many Egyptian temples, Esna sits several meters below today’s street level, offering a fascinating glimpse into how civilizations have literally been built upon one another over thousands of years.
We’ll also enjoy a stroll through Esna’s colorful local market, where everyday Egyptian life unfolds among spice shops, artisan stalls, and family-run businesses.
This afternoon we’ll visit El Kab, one of Egypt’s oldest settlements and the former capital of Upper Egypt.
Here we’ll explore ancient rock-cut tombs and temple ruins while enjoying the peaceful atmosphere that makes this lesser-visited site feel wonderfully authentic and removed from the crowds.
As evening falls, we’ll anchor beside a quiet island.
With the stars overhead, the gentle movement of the river, and wonderful company around the table, you’ll quickly understand why life on a dahabiya is often the highlight of an Egyptian journey.
🍳 Breakfast 🍽️ Lunch 🌙 Dinner
This morning we visit one of the best-preserved temples in all of Egypt—the magnificent Temple of Horus at Edfu.
Dedicated to the falcon-headed god Horus, this grand temple offers an extraordinary glimpse into ancient Egyptian religious life. Its towering entrance, intricate carvings, and beautifully preserved reliefs tell the story of the eternal battle between Horus and Seth, one of the most important myths in Egyptian history.
Exploring Edfu feels like stepping back in time, as much of the temple remains remarkably intact.
This afternoon, we sail toward the tranquil area of Wadi El Shat, a peaceful stretch of the Nile known for its untouched natural beauty. Here, the river narrows and winds through a more secluded landscape, offering a rare glimpse of rural Egypt far from the usual tourist routes. As we drift along, you may spot local farmers tending their fields, children playing along the riverbanks, and traditional mud-brick homes nestled among the greenery, all while enjoying the calm, unhurried rhythm of life on the Nile.
As night falls, the quiet of the Nile and the clear star-filled sky create a truly magical atmosphere.
🍳 Breakfast 🍽️ Lunch 🌙 Dinner
Our first stop today is Gebel El Silsila, where towering sandstone cliffs narrow dramatically along the Nile.
For centuries, this was the primary quarry that supplied stone for many of Egypt’s greatest temples, including Karnak, Luxor, and Kom Ombo. We’ll explore beautifully carved rock-cut chapels dedicated to pharaohs including Seti I, Ramesses II, Merenptah, and Horemheb, while learning about the remarkable craftsmanship that shaped ancient Egypt’s monuments.
With relatively few visitors, Gebel El Silsila offers a peaceful and intimate glimpse into Egypt’s ancient past.
This afternoon we visit the unique Temple of Kom Ombo, dramatically perched on a bend in the Nile.
Unlike any other temple in Egypt, Kom Ombo was built in perfect symmetry and dedicated to two gods: Sobek, the crocodile god associated with fertility and the Nile, and Horus the Elder, the falcon-headed god of protection.
Nearby, we’ll also visit the fascinating Crocodile Museum, where remarkably preserved mummified crocodiles offer insight into the important role these powerful animals played in ancient Egyptian religion.
As the afternoon draws to a close, we’ll sail into beautiful Aswan, long considered one of Egypt’s most picturesque cities.
Known for its granite islands, graceful feluccas, and relaxed atmosphere, Aswan has welcomed traders and travelers for thousands of years and remains one of the country’s most charming destinations.
🍳 Breakfast 🍽️ Lunch 🌙 Dinner
Dedicated to Isis, the goddess of love, healing, and motherhood, Philae originally stood on a nearby island before being carefully relocated stone by stone to save it from the rising waters of the Aswan High Dam.
Its elegant colonnades, intricate carvings, and tranquil island setting make it one of the most memorable temples in Egypt.
After our visit, we’ll return to the dahabiya and enjoy one final sail along the Nile to the peaceful Nubian village of Koubania.
Surrounded by lush gardens of citrus and mango trees, Koubania offers a wonderful glimpse into Nubian life and culture. This welcoming riverside community is known for its colorful homes, warm hospitality, and slower pace of life—a beautiful contrast to Egypt’s grand temples and bustling cities.
🍳 Breakfast 🍽️ Lunch 🌙 Dinner
If we have an early flight from Aswan, we will transfer to the airport after breakfast and fly to Cairo.
Upon arrival, we’ll transfer to our hotel and have time to relax or enjoy a light exploration of Heliopolis, Cairo.
Should we have additional time in Aswan, we’ll make the most of it by exploring more of what this charming city has to offer. Possible experiences include a visit to the remarkable Aswan High Dam, one of Egypt’s greatest modern engineering achievements, followed by a traditional Nubian lunch where we’ll enjoy authentic cuisine and experience the warm hospitality that makes Nubian culture so special.
🍳 Breakfast 🍽️ Lunch 🌙 Dinner
Our morning takes us to Saqqara, home to the Step Pyramid of Djoser—the oldest monumental stone structure ever built.
Designed by the brilliant architect Imhotep over 4,600 years ago, this revolutionary monument marked the beginning of pyramid construction and forever changed the course of architecture. As we walk through this remarkable complex, our Egyptologist will share the innovations and ideas that paved the way for the iconic pyramids we visited earlier in our journey.
We’ll continue underground into the mysterious Serapeum, where enormous granite sarcophagi were created to house the sacred Apis bulls.
The scale and precision of these massive stone chambers continue to intrigue historians and engineers alike, making this one of Egypt’s most fascinating hidden treasures.
We’ll also visit several beautifully decorated private tombs, including those of Mereruka and Kagemni.
Unlike royal tombs, these vibrant wall carvings portray everyday Egyptian life—farming, music, celebrations, family gatherings, and craftsmanship—offering a wonderfully personal glimpse into a civilization that flourished more than 4,000 years ago.
Before returning to Cairo, we’ll visit the Imhotep Museum, where carefully curated artifacts, statues, and architectural models provide wonderful context for everything we’ve experienced throughout the day.
At the end of the tour, you will be transferred back to our hotel for a relaxed evening and an overnight stay.
🍳 Breakfast 🍽️ Lunch 🌙 Dinner
Our first stop is the magnificent Citadel of Saladin, a medieval fortress that has watched over Cairo since the 12th century.
Built to defend the city from Crusader armies, the Citadel later became the seat of Egypt’s rulers for centuries. Today, it offers breathtaking panoramic views across Cairo and serves as one of the city’s most important historic landmarks.
The Mosque of Muhammad Ali
Located within the Citadel, the Mosque of Muhammad Ali—often called the Alabaster Mosque—is one of Cairo’s most recognizable landmarks.
Its elegant Ottoman architecture, soaring domes, graceful minarets, and beautifully decorated interiors make it one of Egypt’s most impressive places of worship and a wonderful place to appreciate the city’s remarkable skyline.
Khan El Khalili Bazaar
No visit to Cairo would be complete without wandering through the bustling lanes of Khan El Khalili.
For more than six centuries, merchants have welcomed visitors to this vibrant marketplace filled with handcrafted jewelry, colorful lanterns, spices, perfumes, textiles, leather goods, and traditional Egyptian treasures. Whether you’re shopping for the perfect keepsake or simply soaking in the atmosphere with a cup of mint tea, it’s a wonderful way to experience the spirit of Cairo.
Farewell Dinner at Naguib Mahfouz Restaurant
This evening, we’ll gather for our farewell dinner in the heart of Khan El Khalili at the renowned Naguib Mahfouz restaurant.
Named after Egypt’s most celebrated novelist and Nobel Prize laureate, Naguib Mahfouz is considered one of the most important literary figures in the Arab world. His works captured the soul of Egyptian society, vividly portraying life in Cairo’s neighborhoods—including the very streets surrounding us tonight. Through his storytelling, he gave voice to generations and brought Egyptian culture to a global audience.
Set within the historic bazaar, the restaurant reflects the timeless charm and atmosphere that inspired his writing. As we enjoy traditional Egyptian cuisine in this iconic setting, we’ll celebrate not only our journey through Egypt, but also the rich cultural legacy that continues to shape its identity.
Return to your hotel.
